This turned out to be a highly successful project enabling Karuna Trust to build 15 houses for extremely poor families in 2023. 13 houses were built in Padaviya in Anuradhapura district with the support of Mr. Haresh Siriwardena in the USA and Diriya Trust, a family trust of Ramanayaka family in Sri Lanka. The remaining two houses were built in Horana in Kalutaradistrict out of interest income of Karuna Trust.  Also in the first six months of 2024 Karuna Trust was instrumental in building four more houses in Padaviya Divisional Secretariat division.
