Mrs. Nisansala Karunaratne Rajapaksha (Secretary)
Mrs. Nisansala Karunaratne Rajapaksha is a renowned Contemporary Artist as well as a Creative Director. Having received the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Photography and Graphic Design from the California State University, San Jose, she proceeded to complete an MA in Buddhist Studies from the Postgraduate Institute of Pali & Buddhist Studies, University of Kelaniya. She is the founder of Casa Serena Art Gallery, Sri Lanka. Nisansala was a Fullbright Scholar in 2017 for the East West Centre Women’s Leadership Programme. She is a Trustee of the Palliative Care Trust Sri Lanka and the Treasurer of the Cancer Care Association of Sri Lanka.
Mr. R A Jayaweera (Treasurer)
Mr. R A Jayaweera is the Senior Partner of PE Mathew & Co (PEMCO), one of the oldest firms of chartered accountants in Sri Lanka. Having received his primary education at the village school, Mr Jayaweera entered Sivali Central College, Ratnapura, for his secondary education. He obtained a Masters in Business Administration degree (MBA) from the University of Colombo. He is a fellow member of both The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) and the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (FCMA). His vast experience in various ministerial and accounting institutions renders his advice invaluable to the Trust. He writes on economics, management, auditing, and governance. His latest book titled “Governance and Development” was released in August 2015.
Mr. Ravi Karunaratne
Mr. Ravi Karunaratne is a senior trustee and the President Elect of the Karuna Trust. He is the Managing Director of Karunaratne & Sons (Pvt.) Ltd which provides the Trust with 75% of its donations. He qualified in printing at Wordford College UK, where he received two National Diplomas in Offset Printing and Typography. He is the Chairman of Maxim Impression Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd, Managing Director of Ramboda Falls Hydro (Pvt.) Ltd, Managing Director of Pan Hydro (Pvt.) Ltd and, Managing Director of Beramana Hydro Power Project (Pvt.) Ltd. His expansive managerial roles have meant that he is a valuable asset to the running of the Trust.
Mr. Mangala Karunaratne
Mr. Mangala Karunaratne Entered the software industry as an engineer in the Silicon Valley during the heady days of the dot.com boom. He then held various engineering and management roles at Fortune 100 technology companies and dot-coms. Mangala returned to Sri Lanka to set up Calcey Technologies (www.calcey.com), a company delivering bespoke digital product engineering solutions to US and other global clients spread across the UK, Nordics and Australia. Aside from his position as CEO of Calcey and a Trustee of Karuna Trust, Mangala also sits on the Board of FARO (Foundation for Advancing Rural Opportunity), and is involved in many initiatives to promote collaboration, creativity, and entrepreneurship through technology and innovation
Mr. D Sumith Arangala
Mr. Sumith Arangala is an engineer by profession. He functions as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LVL Energy Fund PLC that specializes in investment in energy projects in Sri Lanka and abroad. He is also a non-executive independent director of Renuka Agri Foods PLC. He is a Graduate member of the Institute of Engineers, Australia.
Prior to that he functioned as the CEO of Lanka Ventures PLC engaged in the business of venture capital/equity financing. Before joining Lanka Ventures PLC in 2000 he functioned as the Assistant General Manager of Capital Development and Investment Company Limited the pioneer venture capital company in Sri Lanka which company he joined in 1985. He also functioned as a non-executive independent director of Durdans Heart Centre (Private) Limited for 17 years until 2021. He commands nearly 40 years of experience in private equity, venture capital and capital markets.

Mr. Kushan Savinda Perera
Mr. Belikatiya Gamage Karunananda
Mr. Karunananda started his career as Overseas Telecommunication Officer in 1973. He has served Overseas Telecommunication Service and Sri Lanka Telecom for more than 40 years before retired in 2013. He holds a B.A. (Peradeniya), BMS with honours (OUSL), NCT (Moratuwa). Mr. Karunananda is a visiting lecturer in BMS, BSC/B.Ed and ESBM programs of Open University since 2004. He is an associate member of Charted Institute of Personnel Management and currently practicing as a Consultant for Human Resource Development. He is a social worker and a devoted Buddhist religious activist too.
